SOPHIE DOES THE THREE PEAKS
Hi, my name is Sophie. I have taken on the National 3 Peaks Challenge. The challenge takes in the summits of Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m) in that order within in a 24 hour time period, driving between each location. It covers 450 miles by vehicle and 26 miles of hill walking with 10,000ft of ascent and descent.
My aim is to challenge myself mentally and physically and push my body, mind and soul to the limits! My ambition is to prove to myself, and others that anyone can do anything they put their mind to and to raise loooooads of money for a charity very close to my families heart - 'Lucky Charms Equine and Community Therapy Centre' (www.luckycharmstherapycentre.co.uk) which has been designed to work with those affected by autism, disability and disadvantage. A place where friends and families can come and chill out, be together, enjoy the countryside and be the real heart of the community using the power of horses.
All the staff at the centre are volunteers, no one takes a wage and they all work extremely hard to keep the centre running. The staff have great experience in working with horses and children with needs and disabilities. ‘Lucky Charms’ and people who work there do amazing work and I would love to see them continue to help and support people in the amazing way that they do my son and our family for the foreseeable future!
Please sponsor me to help me raise money for this amazing cause that helps and supports children with special needs and disabilities as well as their families and average families in need of time out within the community. Please be part of that by contributing even just £1 and I will do my best not to pass out on my challenge! :)
Thank you! Sophie Rees
